DELHI FELT BRAND NEW.
Nothing in the city changed. I did, and it took one trip to see it.
I lived in Delhi and Gurgaon for almost ten years.
Yet Qutub Minar, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Lotus Temple, Connaught Place, Janpath and Cyberhub felt like my first visit.
The reason was simple. I walked them with batchmates I had spoken to on video calls every single day for six months.
Meeting them in person was pure joy.
And I was on my own. No family plans, no kids to look after, no pressure. Just metro rides, cabs and autos.
I had missed that more than I knew.
When we are with family all the time, we get so busy caring for everyone that we slowly forget ourselves.
I did not notice it until I stepped out.
Those few days brought back the small joys of life.
The kind that refresh you without costing anything.
I came back lighter, with a fresh way of looking at my own life.
So here is one thing for you this week. Block one day just for yourself.
No role, no list, no one to manage.
